A quiet few months on the show scene - Flyte continued his winning ways with several BOB awards but the "home team" did just that... stayed home! ;) I did however finally complete my show judges training and am now qualified to judge Group 5 at Championship Shows. In a weak moment I also applied for trainee status for Group 6 and look forward to commencing that in the New Year. We also welcomed Khandi and Luc's first litter on 2nd November and combined with our August and Spetember litters things have certainly been busy on the home front. We hope to get out and about more in early 2010. |

Dash becomes our first Agility Champion!!! and joins an elite handful of dogs to achieve this top award. He is also the first male Dual CH (A) Border Collie. Huge congrats and thanks to Ros and Peter for giving Dashie such a fantastic home and enabling him to realise his full potential. I'm very proud of you all! :D |

So much news to report! I don't even know where to start!!
We spent 6 weeks on holiday with 7 dogs - you can check out some of our adventures on my blog (also needs updating/finishing!) http://winparaontour09.blogspot.com

The condensed version of our travels - Luc was Baby of the Day at Canberra Royal, Jodi picked up 2xCC's and 1 BOB to take her to 29points. Billy picked up 19 points to take him to a total of 57 and also Intermediate in Group up at Cohuna. Even Jules won some points, picking up an 11pt BOB! Portia also picked up her 3rd leg of SPD at Canberra Royal for 2nd place and her title! :)
Mia was the star though - CC and BOB at Canberra Royal and 61 points gathered on our travels. All wins were BOB and she also won her first Class In Group award in Adelaide (junior) She is now known as Australian Champion Kaitler Miss Money Penny
We had a great time and so it seems did the dogs at home! - but more on that later ;)
We also had some news on the health front - Andy was hip/elbow scored with results of 1:2/0:0 Spryte got 1:1/0:0.
Khandi and Jules were CEA tested with the result of Khandi "Clear" and Jules "Carrier"
Luc and Phoebe were TNS tested with the result of Luc "Carrier" and Phoebe "Clear" I also had 5 of Andy's 8 puppies TNS tested with the result that all 5 were "Carrier"! - and yet I still cant win lotto! ;)

Marnie did a very average gamblers round but somehow still managed to qualify! - this was her crowning leg so she now has her GD title - a nice way to start the year :)

In the teams event we were a team of one! - I was having a weak moment and decided to enter a team of all my own dogs!
So we had Portia, Marnie, Tag, Brydie and Saffi - Tag was the star as usual with two nice clear rounds, Portia was a bit feral but fun, Brydie and Saffi thoroughly enjoyed their night out as they have not done any agility for some time - not even training! A couple of bars down each but both girls did fantastic weaves and Saffi as reserve did a better job than Marnie in the agility and jumping! Go Grannie Saff! Marnie... well she was just being Marnie! ;)
We finished 9th out of 19 teams so I was pretty proud of our effort... especially as I can't remember the last time I did 12 runs on one night! Good exercise to help shift some of that Christmas pudding!
Oh and the name of our team? - Temporary Insanity... and yes it was! But also lots of fun... might do it again someday! |
