***Older Dogs Available***

*** Reilly is currently "on trial" in a new home ***
Reilly is a good natured young boy born on 31/5/2009. Sadly his hip score result was not good enough to be considered as a breeding prospect so we are looking for a new home for him. He gets on well with girls and is a normal "teenage" showoff boy with males. He has not had much experience with children and whilst he is friendly and easy going can also be a little boistrous and probably not suited to families with kids under the age of about 12 unless they are sensible and well used to dogs. He is sterilised, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Due to his hip result he has a higher risk of developing arthritis as he gets older but impossible to say for certain. At this stage he is a very healthy and active young dog.

Reilly would suit a home with someone looking for an active, fun companion. It is very important he is kept lean, fit and well muscled throughout his life so needs someone who will make sure he is walked every day and fed a good healthy diet. Reilly travels well in the car, walks nicely on the lead and knows basic life commands (come, out, no etc). He has not had any formal obedience training but is a quick and willing learner. Reilly would like to be an only dog or perhaps have a female friend for company. He has met cats and holds a healthy respect for them (ie runs the other way!)

*** Eski is currently "on trial" in a new home ***
Eski is a very active girl born on 29th September 2009. She can be reserved in initial meetings with new people but quickly warms up and is very affectionate and "in your face" with her family and friends. She is quite submissive with people but can be bossy with other dogs (especially females) Would suit a home with an older calm medium to larger size male dog for company or as and only dog. She has had little experience with children and would probably be best suited to a single, couple or a family with older children or those not looking to start a family for a few years (after she has "grown up" a little bit). Eski is desexed, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Eski also has a hip score result that precludes her from being a breeding prospect and again has a higher risk of developing arthritis as she gets older but impossible to say for certain. At this stage she is also a very healthy and very active young dog.
Eski would suit an active home with previous Border Collie experience. She knows basic life commands and walks well on a lead but has a lot to learn about the world. She travels well in the car and would be a great friend for someone interested in doing some training with her. She can be bouncy with a short attention span but is a very willing learner and always in a happy mood (except when she is bossing the other dogs around!).

*** Ruby Rose is currently "on trial" in a new home ***

Ruby Rose is a sweet young puppy born on the 4th of July 2010. She was sold as a baby but recently returned to us as she wasn't fitting in. Rosie is desexed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. We have had her back with us for a few weeks now and she has proven to be a real delight. She gets along well with the other dogs and is friendly without being overly effusive with people. She is quite sensitive and will need to go to someone who employs positive training methods (ie: clicker type training) She does sometimes urinate submissively if she feels threatened or unsure of herself but I have been making sure she is set up for success and have had no accidents after the first couple of days she was with us. It is something I feel she will outgrow as she gets older, and will be hastened by building her confidence.

Ruby Rose would be best suited to an experience dog owner, preferably with a calm, friendly older dog who can be a good role model for her. She doesn't appear to be comfortable living as an only dog.

She can be reserved initially with new people. She is friendly but also quite independent and whilst she enjoys pats and attention she is not really a cuddler.

Contact robyn@winpara.com if you would like to express an interest in any of the dogs listed above.

Please include as much information as possible with your enquiry - such as your previous dog owning experience, family situation, whether you have children living at home and the ages of those children (also includes grandchildren who visit regularly), whether you currently own any other pets what those pets are. Also an estimate of how much time the dog would spend alone in a usual week and how much "one-on-one" time you estimate you can spend with the dog.

We are located in the Perth metropolitan area and all prospective owners will be required to meet me (and the dogs!) in person. For country enquiries this will mean travelling to Perth to collect the dog.

All of our adult placements go on a 4 week trial period to ensure they fit into their new home. This means that they can be returned at any stage during the trial period for a full refund, no questions asked. Once the trial period is over, if everyone is happy, the paperwork and other documents will be transferred.
